Punk Poet, theatre-maker and play-wright based in Yorkshire. Henry Raby has performed at Venturer Camp, Strummercamp, Beacons, Galtres, Rebellion, Hidden Hill festivals and a variety of other all-dayers events. He took his solo show, Letter To The Man (from the boy) to Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Underbelly venues in 2012 and will be co-ordinating the Poetry & Literature section of Galtres Festival 2014.
Raby’s work has been described as funny, anarchic, engaging and honest, fusing theatre, spoken word and storytelling with a recurring theme of punk, politics and protest sitting neatly alongside cartoons and comics.
Alex is a Peterborough born Poet. A teacher once told him to write what he knows, which in hindsight, may have been a foolish thing because his poetry features Transformers, Hero Turtles, Lego, Sonic the Hedgehog and Freddy Mercury. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe for a number of years and is frequently performs gigs and shows wherever he can do them.
Keely was the Poet Laureate of Peterborough for 2009 and that means she still gets to advocate and support the cracking poetry scene both locally and nationally. She has performed at many different events from the Houses of Parliament, freaky outdoor festivals to WI luncheon. She has been described as ‘Dawn French on acid’ and ‘the pick and mix at Woolworths’ with a style more Richard Pryor than Pam Ayres.
Leanne Moden is the Fenland Poet Laureate of 2013. She is part of the 28 Sonnets Later poetry collective, and is currently writing her first full-length live literature show.
Show starts at 7.30pm tickets £5, please email email@example.com to reserve your ticket.
