The Peterborough Film Society (est.1947) sees the current vacancy of the 1st floor of the Central Library as an opportunity. The John Clare Theatre is currently used to show film, occasional amateur theatre productions by the Peterborough Players, lecture and literary events. The extra space could, with a community based lottery funding submission, potentially deliver for many arts groups. The first step would be to see if such groups would be interested. Does it fit in with a cultural strategy for the city? Are you interested?
