Charters Anniversary Beer Festival

From Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd September pay a visit to Charters: Peterborough’s finest real ale emporium.   The 100ft barge is located on the River Nene at Town Bridge, in Peterborough City Centre.

The festival which is being held to celebrate their 22nd Anniversary will showcase over 40 Real Ales and 10+ Real Ciders opens at 5pm (maybe before if you ask) on Thursday 19th September.  The venue, which hosts a year-round permanent beer festival on its hand pulls, is a proud member of the ‘Oakademy of Excellence’. The Oakademy is an elite group of Licensed premises set up by Peterborough-based Oakham Ales. Charters’ enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff will be serving a choice selection of real ales from both inside the barge and also a special festival bar in their garden marquee.

Charters are well known in Peterborough and beyond for their policy of providing the finest free entertainment week in week out, the festival being no exception:

Thursday evening is the regular Quiz night with drinkable prizes and free entry, starting at 8pm (teams of up to 6 persons welcome).

Friday evening will see Children of the Revolution take to the stage and perform live from 10:30pm with Shake Hands Eric on Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon from 3:30pm with Liz ’n’ Joe.

Entry to the family friendly festival throughout the weekend is free and Charters look forward to extending a very warm welcome to one and all.
