‘Wandering’: a talk about a lifetime of wandering the world making connections between Nature/Culture, Inside/Outside and Microcosm and Macrocosm.

Renowned internationally for his site specific, natural world sculptures- including patterns cut into fields, giant whirlpools made of slate, marking time and place with large hand-made stone cairns and woven shelter structures. Environment Artist, Chris Drury’s work has taken him to seven continents allowing him a unique insight into how people from different cultures and landscapes, both urban and rural, see the world from different viewpoints and giving him the opportunity to explore a connection to nature.

During the evening, Chris will look back over a long and successful career spent creating work about simply place, culture and connections. Shortly after coming to Peterborough he will be leaving for Australia to make a large piece in Perth called ‘The Wandering’
