GBY Public Meeting: Future Plans

For almost two years now the Green Backyard has been threatened with closure after Peterborough City Council announced its intention to sell the land for development in 2011.

At the community garden, which is still entirely run by volunteers, we have been working hard on plans to secure a successful future for our precious green space. We have made many changes, including electing a board of trustees and changing our legal structure, and have developed ambitious and exciting plans for the future, which we would like to share with all our supporters.

Join us to find out more about our plans, how we intend to save the GBY and find out how you can get involved in the campaign. We are really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas!

The evening will feature talks from project co-founder Sophie Antonelli, GBY Chair Ben Middleton and Chris Erskine, expert on activism and social change. There will also be plenty of time for questions!

The meeting will be held in the Brewery Tap function room which they have kindly donated for the evening. If you are unsure where the function room is just ask at the main bar and they will direct you.
