The Peterborough Italian Festival returns this September with more delicious delights of the Mediterranean to try.
An Italian market will offer a wide range of sweet and savoury food guaranteed to get your taste buds excited; including an Italian hog roast, hand-made pasta and fresh pizza.
Other attractions include trade stands selling traditional ice cream, festival merchandise, olive oils and balsamic vinegars.There will also be wine making, and Prosecco stalls for lovers of the iconic fizz to enjoy.
If sport is what interests you, there will be football and boxing demonstrations on offer. For vehicle enthusiasts, the classic Italian car display returns again for 2017 with motorcycle and scooters also at this year’s event.
Adding an extra cultural twist, classic pieces from Italian opera will be sung by Davide Sorrentino, Giuseppe Barile and Teresa De Roberto; alongside various dance and theatre performances across the weekend.
The event takes place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September and is organised by the Italian Community Association, with support from Peterborough City Council.
The festival takes place in Cathedral Square running from 12pm until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
