Les Misérables – Schools Edition
This summer, the Key Youth Theatre will undertake one of its biggest challenges to date, when it stages the world famous stage and now movie phenonmenon – Les Misérables. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables travels with prisoner-on-perole Jean Valjean (24601) as he runs from the ruthless Inspector Javert on a journey beyond the barricades, at the centre of the June Rebellion. Meanwhile, the life of Fantine, a working class girl, is at turning point. Forced to prostitution, the girl pays debts to the evil innkeeper and his wife in return for the care of her child, Cosette. Witness how their lives intertwine in one of the world’s most famous stories of life, and most tragic scores of all time.
