An exciting 10 week programme of Live Art kicked off this month with Stacey Ann-Cole water colourist and Paul Saunders photographer. Check out the rest of this exciting 10 week programme when the public can interact with artists from 12 noon till 4pm every Saturday in our gallery Art in the Heart

Saturday 14th Sept: Jean Edwards, fine artist specialising in water colours demonstrates the art of precision in perspective and detail through simple lines and washes. Jean is a regular exhibitor in the region and holds watercolour workshops

Saturday 21st Sept: Kate Anderson of Cleopatra’s Cave, jewellery maker and designer specialising in Origami. Kate is a regular exhibitor in the local area and today she will demonstrate the intracacy of oragami jewellery. Her range has been available in the gallery since it’s opening and has been loved by our visitors. An ideal unique design led gift

Saturday 28th Sept: James Green, well known professional artist and member of the Guild of Railway Artists is with us today showing us some of the secrets of his photo realistic art. We have had the pleasure of exhibiting both originals and limited edition prints at the gallery and they have the real wow factor. His landscapes, architectural paintings are exquisite but he has especially increased his fan base here for his wonderful renditions of steam train locomotives including Tornado, Epic and Bradley Manor.

Saturday 5th Oct: William Ashley-Norman has been making chicken wired sculpture for some years now. Some of his figurative work has featured in London’s shop windows. His giant human figures which have been exhibited in the gallery are particularly formidable. William has now branched out more with his artistic pursuits offering Chicken Wired workshops in schools across the country. Today will be demonstrating how he creates some of his smaller pieces now exhibiting and on sale in the gallery

Saturday 12th Oct: Kay Clark, who has participated for a few years now in the Peterborough Open Artists’ Studios will demonstrate how she paints eyes in her portraits, a technique which is particularly distinctive in her work. She will also demonstrate colour mixing with colour wheels. Kay made her debut with Live Art earlier in the year. She had such a good time that she had to return

Saturday 19th Oct: Jacki Cairns mixed media artist of heARTwork uses the positive aspects of ADHD in her work. Constantly striving for originality and creativity, her work has many layers. In the gallery she has been known for subject matter which is based loosely on the eccentricities of British culture and she is now exploring new departures and dimensions which she wishes to share with her audience. Today you will be able to ask about her inspiration and see her work developing.

Saturday 26th Oct: Eve Marshall felter extraordinaire has been enjoying a successful textile career for a while. Her irresistible and sometimes quirky animal, flower brooches and hair clips have been flying off the shelves since we first opened. She has also found success with the selling of her 2D textile art pieces. Eve also exhibits and sells from Carnaby Street, country shows and holds regular crafting classes across the region.
Today she will show us the craft of needle felting, creating brooches and hairclips. You may be be able to have a go

Saturday 2nd Nov: Prue Pye a well known artist in our region will show us today some of the techniques she uses to achieve the most wonderful semi abstract figurative paintings. Prue is also one of the founding members and organisers of Still Working a group of local artists who tour the region and beyond
