Children can have fun exploring Peterborough’s past! Using historic archives, photographs, maps and books, explore 200 years of Peterborough’s manufacturing history – find out about local firms that started in the crowded city centre, 2 major fires and why the railway was so important. Learn how the local businesses helped with the war effort and how far around the world locally made goods travelled. End the session by making your own automata or mechanical toy to take home! Suitable for ages 8+. £3 per child.
