‘ELSIE, PRINCE OF DENMARK’ IS COMING TO PETERBOROUGH LOOKING FOR YOUNG ACTORS TO WORK WITH!
Tailormade Productions are a professional film company, coming to Peterborough to create exciting opportunities for young actors to gain experience on our short film ” Elsie, Prince of Denmark” starring Sally Phillips and working with a skilled industry crew.
WHAT?
The film is a warm and humorous coming of age that tells the story of Elsie, a sixteen year old girl trying to find her place in the world, who becomes inspired by Hamlet when she sees her frustrations and indecision mirrored by the eponymous hero and decides to use the school producing to voice her own desires. The film combines elements of theatre, comedy and character drama, featuring a young and energetic cast and a great team behind it.
WHO?
The project has been written by the prolific novelist Julie Mayhew. Our director, Brek Taylor, was formerly Head of Film at Creative England and is currently developing her second feature with the BFI. Our Exec Producer, Jayne Trotman, has recently stepped down from her role as Head of Publicity at Warner Brothers and is currently developing a slate of feature projects. We also have 2 named actors on board for the project.
WHEN & WHERE?
Our crew are coming to Peterborough Regional College to shoot on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th November.
WHY?
We are looking to create opportunities outside of London for ambitious & enthusiastic young people to work with a fantastic crew. If you are selected, you will be able to work beside and learn from film industry professionals. As with most short films, we are working to a tight budget so unfortunately the roles are unpaid. Those selected will receive a professional credit on the film, gain bounds of experience and gain access to the film online. We will also be providing some delicious refreshments.
AUDITIONS
We will be coming up to Peterborough to run auditions on Saturday 28th October. These will be held from 10am – 12.30pm in the Event Room at Metal Culture, St Peter’s Road, Peterborough, PE1. Please come along for the whole time allocated.

15 x actors (Over 16s)
