Are you holding an event,  workshop,  play or a lecture about World War 1?  Idea1 would love to know!

2014 Will mark 100 years since the start of the 1st World War, from 2014 to 2018, across the world, nations, communities and individuals of all ages will come together to mark, commemorate and remember the lives of those who lived, fought and died in the First World War.

Idea1 is interested in creating a calendar of these events that are in Peterborough and the surrounding areas, here are some events that are already currently scheduled in the East of England. If you haven’t seen it already check out www.1914.org to get a sense of what the country and the world is doing to commemorate.

If your group, community or organisation would like to help mark the Centenary by exploring, conserving and sharing the heritage of the First World War, Heritage Lottery Fund can provide funding to help. For more information click here.

If you, an organisation, or a group are planning on marking the Centenary please get in contact by emailing ruth@metalculture.com.
